Ever get so sick of someone that you just want to erase them? I mean, not wish any harm on them or anything, but just wish they would get a promotion or something and move away? Or just get better things to do, other than bug you?
Dear Media, SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE BAD ECONOMY. You aren't helping. Thanks, Sandi.
Next: I don't think it's super awful horrible bad. My shop is doing ok. Perhaps it's because people are shopping locally, and really helping out mom & pop shops (vs. stupid Wal-Mart crap), which brings money right back. You buy a shirt at my shop, the tax you pay goes to the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara and the State of California. The profit I make off that shirt goes to my lunch or my rent or cat food. All of which, are dollars I spend locally.
Certain HUGE retailers like Wal-Crap don't often pay the full amount of taxes, and sometimes none at all. The money goes to China and other countries, and fatten the pockets of assholes.
Ok. On another note, I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL TUESDAY.
Keeping that in mind, dude, talk about stimulating the economy!!!! People are so excited about Obama, that they are travelling cross country, or even from other countries, to witness this awesome event. That means they are SPENDING MONEY. Buying Obama t-shirts, mugs, whatever. Spending money on hotels, rental cars, food, coffee, souveniers.
So yeah. I think the economy is already turning around, but the media isn't nurturing that thought. Come on, people are excited for this upcoming change. And even though most of the money being spent right now for the inauguration will be on the East Coast, I can tell you that there are plenty of parties happening all over the country. What does that mean? Sales of food. Chips. Decorations. Booze. Soda. You name it.
And all because people are excited about our new president. It's already getting better.
The more you spend locally, the faster the turnaround. So, when you can, please patronize the independent shops right now. We'll take that money and spend it much faster than other places, I guarantee.
I am still going through all my photos of the Faint, that I took a couple weeks ago. I'm depressed for a couple reasons: 1. I don't have the lens I want/need. But when I get an extra $400, it will be the first thing I buy! 2. I'm still learning my way around digital photography. I thought I set the ISO correctly, but I guess I didn't save the setting or something. Many many turned out shitty. 3. I didn't have the shutter speed set correctly, either. So I have many photos that would have been good, but they are blurry.
I need to take a class or something to show me what's up with this new fangled digital thang the kids are using these days.
But here is one photo I think turned out ok. Click on it to go to my flickr page and see more. I love critiques and comments, I'm always looking to improve!!! And I'm soooo new at concert shoots, I really don't know what I'm doing. I've got about 100 more to sort through, so I'll post a few more as soon as I can. (to those of you who aren't photographers, you get maybe 10 or 12 great shots out of every 100...)
You are an excellent friend and an unselfish person, yet you like to spend a lot of time on your hair and fashion. You spend most of your time with guys that are too cocky, too hairy, or too related.

BLONDIE is coming to the Fillmore in February. FUCKING BLONDIE.
I am a serious Blondie fan. And she is probably the only person/band I would pay $100 or more to see. Especially on this tour, which is the Parallel Lines anniversary tour. One of my favorite albums of all time.
I love candles. LOVE THEM. I frequently purchase from a little place calledZena Moon. Run mostly by one woman, these candles are da bomb. Awesome for inspiration, for gifts, for anything.
Tonight I logged on in search of finding a candle for a new friend of mine, and I saw this one. She said she's never done anything like this before (which is true to the best of my knowledge), and it's a limited edition...
1. Saw "Burn After Reading." I liked it very much.
2. Yesterday, I took my first exam for my online Human Form and Function class. It was HARD. Luckily I still got a 90%, but it took me almost the entire hour to answer 40 questions. Ugh.
3. Didn't get to work out this weekend, don't think I can make it back to the gym until Thursday night. My schedule still sucks ass.
4. Pickford's bloodwork came back, and it's ALL NORMAL!!!!!! Plus, HE GAINED THREE POUNDS!!!!! The vet said he looks great, heart and lungs sound perfect, his weight is good, his coat is nice and soft... Super healthy kitty! Yay for I131 treatment and healthy cats!!!
5. Our tomatoes are about to start turning red. I can't wait for home grown tomato goodness. Yum!
I have now gone to the gym 4 out of the last 8 days. Yay me!!! That's the most I've worked out in like five years. I'm loving the elliptical, I do about 20 minutes on it each time I go, then I do assorted machines, then maybe the bike thingie for 10 minutes or so. I usually work out for a total of 45 minutes.
Does anybody know about the ellipticals? They have different workouts to choose from, and I usually do the fat burning one. It says to keep my heart rate around 119, but it's usually higher (I am out of shape. Seriously). The cardio one says my heart rate should be around 140. Does that mean that if my heart rate is higher I'm not burning fat? How does all this stuff work? Also, how accurate are they? I usually burn about 200 calories when I am on there for 20 minutes, but Curtis was saying he doesn't think they tell the truth.
Ugh. I need to schedule one of my free appointments with a personal trainer.
Last fall and winter, I was a crocheting fool. I took every spare moment I had and crocheted women's cloche style hats. This year I've only been doing smaller stuff, a purse for my niece, a purse to sell, and I've been practicing a few flowers (but not having much luck).
Today, a lady came into the shop and remembered me as the girl who made the hat she bought last winter. She LOVES it and is dying for another! She said she'd keep coming back in, until I had more. I told her it might be a few months, as it's still too hot for a yarn hat. Although, there are open knit style ones i could do... Hm...
Either way, it's nice to know that something I made, is bringing someone joy. :D
